The first thing that comes to mind after reading this book is, I wish I had read it earlier.
I am a veteran of dieting and have tried almost every diet known to man! Having read this book, the first thing that I learnt was that at their heart , all diets are same. They just juggle around with the same foods. The reason for my failure at losing weight was my own self.
Dr. Agarwal has shown me the right path for shedding weight. The system is quite easy. Weigh yourself everyday and start using a pedometer.
The biggest takeaway for me is that there is no magic for shedding weight.

A must have if you wanna really loose weight

I am a dentist with my own practice. Due to my long working hours and irregular timings my eating habits have been quiet bizarre . So I was always looking for short and quick ways of loosing weight. But after going through this book I realized that loosing weight is all about changing your habits. Inact u can loose weight in a much simpler way... thats by inculcating few good habits and going step by step. The author of this book actually personally walks by your side helping you reach your goal. Just when a thought comes to your mind or a doubt .. the very next line explains it all. I would actually call it a A..to..Z of weight loss . A must have

Weight loss made simple!!

The title of the book – “The Weight Loss Habit: Take Charge of Your Weight” itself conveys the message of the book. We gain weight because of ‘bad’ habits and we can lose weight, and sustain weight loss simply by incorporating the ‘right’ habits. The message is simple yet profound.
The author, who himself is a MD doctor, has extensively quoted from research studies to prove his point. We are all aware of the calorie equation which is the basis of any weight loss program i.e. you need to burn more calories than what you consume. However, you could achieve this by making small changes in your daily routine/habits is something which I could not fathom, till I read this book.
The book contains a lot of practical ideas, which if incorporated in your daily routine would automatically lead to weight loss, without any real effort. I have experimented with the ideas contained in this book, upon myself and the results are there for the showing. Two habits that have really made the difference is the use of pedometer to count my daily steps and measuring of weight on daily basis. With the pedometer on my wrist, I am always competing against myself to achieve the target steps and which leads to an increase in calorie burnout; and with the ‘habit’ of daily weight measurement I get a real time understanding of the correlation between the indulgences of the previous day and its impact on my weight. Both the pedometer and the weighing scale truly gives you the ‘charge of your weight’.
The book brings about a paradigm shift in your understanding of weight loss. It makes a daunting task of losing weight very simple. I would strongly recommend this book to all.
